Here's a little refresher for those that are new, or don't know what the go is. With a late Tuna run, this could be an interesting time for Sydney Anglers. Now get out there and nail a few! :hellyeah:

Band of Brothers Productions invites all Sydney Angler Members to submit their commendable captures in the Band of Brothers Bluewater Fish of the Month Competition.

All you need to do is take a photo of the fish, write a 2-3 line report on the details of the Capture. At the end of each month, a poll will be run for the Entrants. Compliments of Sydney Angler, the winner shall receive a Band of Brothers DVD of choice from our collection, and some other goodies too as they become available.

At the end of the 12 month period, all 12 monthly winners will go into a poll for an all expenses paid fishing trip with some of the Band of Brothers crew in Jervis Bay, including accommodation, 2 days fishing aboard one of the Band of Brothers Boats and all food and fuel expenses covered. Fishing options will be only be limited the Winners imagination. Big Kings in May, Marlin in March, or Snapper in November. It is entirely up to the winner as to what they want to target. We will then set a date that suits all.

The Rules:

The fish must be a Saltwater species
The fish must have been caught within NSW waters
The fish DOES NOT have to be killed. Tag or catch and release is fine and in fact preferred
The photo of the fish must be relative to a person or object- no funny business
The fish must be caught within the month you are entering the comp
The fish must have been caught using conventional methods and tackle (no netting, long lining, spearing etc)
An estimated or actual length and weight must be provided within the report
The Angler must be a Sydney Angler Member (No my friend caught this on my boat etc)
Sydney Angler Moderators reserve the right to refuse entry if foul play is evident
No illegal captures to be submitted whatsoever (i.e. Great White Sharks)
No responding or congratulating achievements within this topic, please use the reports section

The competition is to be run and moderated by the SA Committee and moderating team only. Winners shall be announced and awarded by the Sydney Angler Committee and Moderating team. All decisions will be final, and no correspondence entered into.

Too easy. Now get on out there and start fishing.:headbang::headbang:

Caught in the port hacking not too far from yowie bay wharf.

Was caught on a 1/0 suicide with my own blend of meat on the end :)

Measured 98cm in length i tried to push for 1 metre but by the time i had measured it had bent a little rofl. Dont no the weight of it excatly as i didn't have anything to weigh with it, however i did carry it obviously and it felt in far excess of 5kg.

Caught this fella on a handline trolling around Balls Pyramid at Lord Howe a few weeks ago.

I was looking at the Pyramid when the 80 pound mono started ripping through through my gloves after a 5 minutes tussle I pulled in a Yellowfin weighing 10kgs. Must admit I never thought I'd be able to pull it in but this handline stuff is not too bad!!

Cheers

Dom
