View Full Version : SYDNEY ANGLER CHRISTMAS PARTY
Sydney Anglers,
You are invited to quite possibly the greatest event ever known to man. This is bigger than the Rugby League World Cup, more anticipated than the presentation of the Gold Logie and more exciting than women’s tennis.
What I hear you ask could be better than that? It’s the inaugural Sydney Angler Christmas Party and it’s happening on Saturday November 25th at The Albion Hotel Parramatta. The agenda is simple, turn up, eat, drink, laugh alot (mostly at Frank) and be happy.
Why Parramatta? Because geographically it’s close to the centre of Sydney and accessible by Public Transport.
Why Then? It’s scheduled a bit earlier so as not to clash with work Christmas Parties plus it's Joe and Tyson's brithdays!!!
So tell your wife to prepare the spare bedroom, get out your felt tip pen and mark it in the calendar and get ready because it will be a cracker of a night.
What: Sydney Angler Christmas Party
Where: Albion Hotel. 135 George St Parramatta
When: 6:00pm Saturday November 25th
RSVP: Post a reply here
While in the future we hope to be able to subsidise these events, this year is a pay-your-own-way affair. There’s Bistro meals and drinks at pub prices.
If you are in, post here and let us know as we’ve made a booking and will need to confirm numbers.
Cheers,
The Sydney Angler Team

I have been asked if there's a motel nearby. For those that want something clean and functional at a cheap price I've heard these are pretty good. The one at Wentworthville is a short cab ride from Parramatta.

If you want something more upmarket then the Accor Rosehill might be your go.

I needed an excuse to say maybe and now I have one. My wheels just died and I am a maybe. Not good enough I know but best I can do. A $2,000 car I have had for nearly five years and finally it goes kaput. Not heart breaking but I don't have the bucks to repalce if I can't repair.:o

I hate this time of year - her that must be obeyed tends to monopolise each and every weekend with pre-Xmas catch-ups with people that we haven't seen for a year, this eats seriously into my fishing time so anything that's not booked out for these 'socials' gets logged into the fishing diary.
As a consequence, I'll be fishing on the date in question...Sorry, but I have to get my priorities right. No wonder I don't have any friends!
I'll have to make the next fishing social...
I hope you guys enjoy,
Cheers,
Neil

Just read through the whole thread and it states who is going but need a bit more info e.g. Iain booked what out?? A room for SA's??? What about dinner?? Catch and kill your own??
Mate it's pretty a pretty casual arrangement.
We've got a booking so there's no worries about getting a seat.
Turn up, look for the Sydney Angler banner in the beer garden and that will be us.
Come over, say G'day, **** off to the bar and order a beer.
Foodwise basically it's order from the bistro menu.
That's pretty well it. Turn up, get on the beers, have a laugh with your mates and enjoy yourselves.
